Get the most from – your primary photo

Your primary photo is shown in search listings results, so it’s a good idea to spend some time getting it just right. Within your media section , you can select the image which you wish to be your primary image. All images that are suitable as primary photo will have a green tick icon next to them. To clarify, to be suitable for main profile photo, images must show either your face and/or full body (at least shoulders to knees), and contain no nudity. But an main profile image showing your face, and preferably smiling and showing what a fun person you are (unless mysterious and moody is your thing, obviously), will attract a lot more interest to your profile. Likewise try to make sure it is a reasonable quality photo. If you don’t have any photos suitable for primary image, then your avatar image will be displayed. However be aware that you are much more likely to have views and be contacted if you have a profile photo.

We’re hosting our first (hopefully of many) site social event on Monday May 14th in London. Its a free event and is by invite only. Click Will Attend on the event page to register your interest and we will send out an invite.

This is a great chance to connect with friends, vet some new contacts, make new ones or just find out more about peoples experiences.

When you look at your profile , you will now see your wall on the bottom left. Just like your old profile news feed, this will show new members in your area and what your friends are up to on the site. The big change is that you can now write status’ on your wall, and comment on your friend’s status’. Also you can add photos to your wall and your friends can comment. Please note that if you upload a private image, nobody else on the site will be able to see it. But they can ask you nicely to see it, and then it’s up to you if you wish to send it to them via mail message. To control who can view and post on your wall, use the privacy options. The best way to get the hang of it is to play around with it, but do give us a shout if you need any help!
